My Practice

I love witnessing the lightbulb moments - those sacred instances when clients experience breakthroughs and grace they never imagined possible. My practice centers around helping people integrate these awakenings into their daily lives so transformation becomes lasting and embodied.

I specialize in helping men and couples develop emotional fluency, build healthier relationships, and achieve lasting excellence in recovery. I also support clients healing from religious trauma and oppression, addiction, and the lingering effects of anxiety and depression. My approach is grounded in both compassion and clarity - helping people move from old survival patterns into a state of balance, connection, and authenticity.

For over two decades, I’ve worked as a psychotherapist, addictions counsellor, group facilitator, and therapeutic coach, guiding hundreds of people through life changing healing processes. My work draws from a wide range of modalities including Somatic Therapy, Qigong, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Family Systems Theory,

and Indigenous Healing Traditions.

As the former Executive Director of a First Nations Men’s Treatment Centre, I helped design culturally informed recovery programs that honored traditional teachings while addressing modern challenges. I’ve also led numerous healing circles and workshops including Men’s Peaceful Warrior Circles, Healing from Religious Oppression, Sacred Empowering Language, and The Secrets of Thriving Relationships.

A consistent theme in my work is that trauma disconnects us - from our bodies, our emotions, and our sense of belonging. My mission is to help people rediscover the wholeness that was never truly lost.

Education & Experience

My formal training includes a Diploma in Transpersonal (Spiritual) Psychology Counselling from Clearmind International Institute, where I studied Family Systems Theory and experiential group process. I am also a Certified NLP and SIIA Practitioner through the American Board of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, having trained extensively under master teacher Niurka.

I have completed the Developmental Model program with The Couples Institute and am finishing a practicum for RLT designation with the Relational Life Institute, further deepening my expertise in relational dynamics, emotional literacy, and intimacy.

I bring over 17 years of personal recovery experience (clean since February 7, 2007) and have completed thirteen sets of Twelve Steps across six fellowships, giving me deep insight into both the strengths and limitations of traditional recovery. This led me to create Evolved Recovery—a model integrating Indigenous Wellbriety principles, Qigong, and modern therapeutic techniques.

I am also the author of 13 books in the emotional fluency niche, covering recovery, relationships, communication, and spiritual growth.

My Roots

I am of Scottish, Polish, and Plains Cree heritage, and I walk the Red Road to honor the wisdom of all my ancestors. Their warrior spirit lives on through my commitment to peace, healing, and right relationship—with self, others, and the Earth.

Today, I live in gratitude with my beloved partner Rebecca, with whom I share both life and the joy of teaching others how to build thriving, heart-centered relationships. I am also a proud father and grandfather, continually learning from the generations that follow.

My Offering

My calling is simple yet profound: to help people remember who they truly are. My work is about discovering the spark of innocence that exists in every person, and then fanning it into an ember, a flame, and even a bonfire—a light that transforms how they see themselves, relate to others, and move through the world.

Through counselling, coaching, ceremony, and group facilitation, I support clients—individuals and couples—in reconnecting with themselves at the core, cultivating compassion, and uncovering their hidden gifts so they can bring them into their relationships, family, business, community, and the world.

Yours in the delight of transformation,
Vince Wishart
